Frequently Asked Questions

When can I contact Aurora Conveyancing?

Our office operates during normal business hours, 9am-5pm Monday through to Friday. However, it is our aim to be available to you when you need us most and we understand that sometimes property transactions just can't happen during normal business hours. That's why we are flexible enough to arrange after hours appointments, even Saturdays where necessary, to ensure we get the transaction done to your timeframe.

How quickly can contracts be reviewed or prepared?
Generally the turnaround time for the review of a contract for a property you want to buy, or the preparation of a contract for a property you want to sell, is approximately 24 hours*.

*On sale contracts this may not include the council certificates

What is the difference between a Conveyancer and Solicitor?

Unlike solicitors who are educated and practice across multiple fields, conveyancers are educated and hold their experience only in the property industry.

The principal at Aurora Conveyancing, Lauren Ingall, obtained her license after four years of studying at Macquarie University in NSW. Lauren is registered with the Department of Fair Trading, a member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers, she is a registered Justice of the Peace and protected by professional indemnity insurance.

You should think of your conveyancer as a 'specialist' in property law.

What level of insurance does Aurora Conveyancing hold?

Aurora Conveyancing is covered by Professional Indemnity insurance, to assure you that if, by chance, there is error made on our behalf, we have the necessary insurance to ensure you are protected.

How much does Conveyancing cost?

Each transaction is different and as such it is incredibly difficult to generalise about what costs may be incurred. Please contact us for an estimate of fees and charges. We will provide you with an upfront cost assessment in writing, with no scope for unexpected increases along the way. There will be no nasty surprises when you get your bill so you can rest assured that what you are quoted is what you will pay.

To make payment easy for you, we accept all major credit cards, eftpos, cash, cheque and internet transfers.
